Gregoire Besson sold its first Discordon in the early 1990s and has since updated and developed the machine. As a result, some parts on older machines are now obsolete, which can be a problem as they start to show their age.
That was the problem facing one Welsh farmer who recently sent us his worn front gangs. Thankfully, we were able to recreate several obsolete parts, fabricate new Hardox scraper blades, straighten the scraper rail, disassemble and refurbish the bearings and fit new disc blades before returning the machine to Wales.
