Agricast’s Investment Continues With A New Website

Posted on 3rd August 2021

Agricast is building on last month’s announcement of a £150,000 investment in new machinery with the launch of a new website.

In July, the manufacturer of replacement wearing parts for agricultural machines announced it was buying a new high definition plasma cutter, taking on new staff and improving its Lincolnshire factory.

This month Agricast has launched a new website offering greater e-commerce functionality, information on over 950 wearing parts and foreign language translation as the company aims to grow the export side of its business.

“Over the last couple of years, we have seen traffic to our website grow dramatically, we’ve enjoyed an increase in enquiries from the site and from our digital marketing activity as a whole,” says William Robinson, Agricast’s managing director. “We have always intended to have a full e-commerce site, and this new website is another step towards that goal.”

Visitors to www.agricast.net will not be able to make online purchases straight away, but they will be able to add wearing parts to a shopping basket and request a tailored quote for the products they want to buy. Full e-commerce functionality will be trialled with selected users after they’ve created a new online account.

“We have enjoyed two record-breaking years with UK sales higher than forecasted, which is great, and we very much appreciate the repeat business our customers continue to give us,” adds Will. “We have also seen an increase in enquiries and orders from overseas and are delighted to have secured support from the Department for International Trade, which will enable us to increase our overseas marketing activity.”

On launch, www.agricast.net will be tailored to English-speaking countries, Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic.

Established in 1987 and based on the family’s Lincolnshire farm, Agricast is the UK’s leading Cambridge roll ring specialist and also supplies a wide range of press rings, disc blades, and subsoiler parts. The company also offers bespoke alterations and fabrication services.
